The cleanrooms was designed to use ‘mini environments’ to reduce the total amount of Class 1 cleanroom area needed. Only enclosed areas housing the critical operations of the diffusion process will be at Class 1, with a Class 100 clean air environment being maintained throughout the lab.The wafer facility nabbed the BCA Best Buildable Design Award in 2002 with Meinhardt providing Civil, Structural, MEP Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering.
