The new Victorian Air Wing and Air Ambulance Victoria facility at Essendon Airport is a state of the art home for both the Police and Ambulance helicopters and Air Ambulance fixed wing aircraft.

This world class facility improves Victoria’s ability to respond to emergencies and mass casualties.  The A$20 million facility comprises two steel frame hangar building to house and service the aircraft.  The facility also includes two separate, 2 level operational buildings which provide flight control, workshops, administrative space, training simulators and accommodation for pilots, patients and families.  Project completed in 2009.
